Training programme for the village animators and SHG members

Don Bosco, Hospet has been active in the field of social reach out in the villages for the last 25 years. In the month of February, 25 village animators and 160 Self Help Group leaders were empowered with capacity building programmes.

On February 9, 2010 about 25 village animators gathered at Don Bosco, Hospet to learn about children`s clubs and to implement children`s club in various Government schools. These children`s clubs will enable the children to perform their studies better and also to influence the Government departments and to get their proper rights. This will help the children to improve the quality of their education and facilities in their existing schools. On the same day, 160 Self Help Group leaders underwent a training programme on leadership qualities. Mr. Manjunath, the resource person from Don Bosco, Davangere explained to the participants regarding the basics of leadership skills and best ways to improve it. The participants learned many new things which will enable them to animate their groups effectively.
